Family’s vehicle had been in an accident prior to the diagnosis, and they were experiencing financial difficulties due to the added costs. MAYF has assisted with energy bills along with Internet which allowed the child to continue attending school virtually when she was unable to attend in person.
17-year-old from northeast Nebraska diagnosed with osteosarcoma. Both parents had been working however due to the number of hospitalizations and delayed discharges plus outpatient trips to Omaha mother has missed a significant amount of work which has impacted the household income. MAYF continues to pay utilities for the family.
